New Water Purification Specialists

  • Trained six (6) new water team specialists in the U.S. with tools and knowledge to enter the mission field and trained an additional ten (10) specialists in local Haitian communities

  • Received commitment from four (4) new trainees to return to Haiti in the first quarter of 2108 to install a water purification system in Cazale

  • Another two (2) graduates expressed an interest in making their first trip to Haiti in January 2018

2017 Accomplishments

~ 88 cents of every dollar raised goes directly towards water projects in the form of training, mobilizing, system installations, and/or system repair

Mission Field

  • Mobilized eleven (11) volunteers to Haiti over two separate trips - January 2017 and July 2017

  • Installed six (6) new purification systems and trained & certified community leaders on the use & maintenance of the systems.  Sites included:

    • - Baptist Evangelique (Baptist Seminary)

    • - Aisle Communal (Elderly Women's Hospital)

    • - Sarayoul Carderie School

    • - Eglise Evangelique d'Horeb Church

    • - Institution Mixte Dulord Jeam Kindergarten and 
      Secondary School

    • - Local Community (Pastor Ben)

  • ​Visited fifteen (15) sites where systems were previously installed.  Enacted repairs where possible and placed other items on list for follow-up during upcoming trip

  • Repaired three (3) hand pumps restoring desperately needed water to communities that have been doing without

  • Conducted Health and Hygiene training for communities at new purifier sites

  • Evaluated three (3) new sites for potential system installations during upcoming trips


Strategic Partnerships

  • Continued to support Shoeman Water Projects through the collection of slightly used shoes to fund new wells

  • Supported Joy in Haiti by helping to load trailers of supplies and supporting orphanages as well as Pastor Brisenault's School

Mobilizing / Fundraising

  • Supported the Missouri Irish Festival & the Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles, MO to enhance awareness and demonstrate the chlorinator operation

  • Held two (2) Dine-to-Donate events at Texas Road House to increase public knowledge of the need for clean water

  • Hosted first annual Bowling for Water fundraiser at Brunzwick Zone in St. Peters, MO.  Blessed with 84 participants.

SWT has been a Missouri 501(c)3 Corporation in good standing since March of 2013.  All contributions are tax deductible.
